ExpressLRS firmware has been updated recently, and one major change that was added is that it now supports both the CRSF protocol (digital serial protocol) and PPM as input. I wired up a simple cable that simply sends power, ground, and signal from one of my futaba transmitters to one of my now updated ExpressLRS transmitter modules, and it works with just the PPM. no more need to add the tiny ppm->crsf converter board.

Hi, could you tell us which ELRS version has this feature, I just scanned back thru the last half dozen or so releases and couldn't find any mention of PPM input feature, thanks. Khim

Thanks for the information! I may have a use in the future on some new conversions of older radios. My main radio is a Radiomaster which already has CRSF, but I would have liked to have this last year when I converted several FlySky FS-I6 radios from PPM to CRSF so I could use ELRS.
