    Evening All,

We have just formed a new club in Derby and sailing in Alvaston Park. we have been running for the last 6 months and the water has been weed free thanks to the park putting barley straw bails in the lake. The lake around 2 meters deep ( I know as lost my Sub but was able to use are boat, and reach down to get it. there is photos of me recovering it lol).  The park has a good car park and cafe next to where we sail. normally sailing day is Sunday from 9.30am to about 4pm (2pm in the winter).

For more information either PM on here

Thanks for posting Tim. Worth mentioning my own "home waters" too, perhaps. Furness Model Boat Club (Barrow in Furness) (Google for the website.)

Nearly one year on and the club is growing in strength to strength. 24 members with amazing boats and great atmosfer

A real bonus is the interest in Subs so far we got 4 Robbe Seawolfs, 2 Robbe U47, two TT Neptunes, sub tech Uss Marlin, Two Darnell British S Types(if I ever get mine back in the water), Darnel U99 and Engel Type 7. If you ever in the area, please feel free to pop in for a chat & coffee. On a personal note I would like to thank you all for all you help and advise.

Just a general question for everyone looking in.

With spring not that far away, any updates about sailing waters/clubs etc.that you belong to?

I see that my own club Furness Model Boat Club has a good article in MMI magazine. We will be holding or own sub day in early September again, I think, but we don't have a date yet.
