Newbi To Going Down Under ! Empty Newbi To Going Down Under !

      Hi my names Gregg,
I returned to plastic modelling about 3 yrs ago after a lay-off for 40+years.
During that time I was into R/C aircraft, both building and flying (crashing)

Now retired and being my disabled wife's & Elderly mother's carer, I made the decision to get back to my original passion of kit modelling. This I thought would allow me to escape from the outside world occasionally.

For my first new plastic build on my return I decided to change Genre,  so I converted an 1/35 Italeri S-100 Schnellboat into R/C. Having limited (me) time this took me 3 years starting it in 2011 to complete.

Having completed this, and recently seeing a completed Revell Type VIC submarine. I thought I would give one a go, and have decided I would like to convert this to R/C.
I have managed to obtain both the Revell 1/72 Gato & the Type IX U-Boat.
I will probably only build as a surface runner, as it seems quite complicated/expensive to get it to go under.
A member of another forum suggested I look on here, so here I am!

I hope you will forgive me if I ask some questions that me seem simple to you, but maybe confusing to me.

Just realised I have posted this in the wrong section. (great Start)

      Gregg
