News hot from the Furness MBC AGM (My own Club.)

We invite everyone to our next sub day on Sunday 4th Sept 2016. Join us in our comfy Clubhouse for lunch. All welcome.

(It was a good, comprehensive AGM because the gale outside prevented us from sailing. I tried some openLRS aerial trials but my Futaba 9C blew in the pond! It's now in the airing cupboard.)

    Yes, Trevor!

I was trying an underwater aerial but I didn't mean to try the transmitter as well! For the record it sinks.

Good news is that I recovered it quickly, got the battery out and after a week in the airing cupboard it is now working fine. The LCD was rather comical with a waterline half way up (But no fishes in it!)

I will be taking it back to the Barrow pond tomorrow for a proper trial. (Just got the red weather warning for Cumbria - hope it is north of here)

My home club's Regatta and Sub Day on Sunday.

We don't expect vast numbers of submarines but you will be most welcome to join us at about 10am by the Lake in the Park. It is a Regatta also so you can bring "Targets."
