I have quite a lot of drawing and plans of the WW2 British X craft from various sources which I can email copies of to anyone who needs them.

x-craft plans
Hi Richard,
Just joined I would be most grateful for any plans of an X-craft, recall many years ago about an excellent model that worked on glow engine on the surface and electric power under water! It was lost I believe, caused by suspeced fire in fuel line?

Hi DD46
The X that you are talking about is the one that Alf made,
Alf has been working on a new all alloy type 9 40/c for the last 12 years. + a few Russian boats.

I've just joined the forum and would appreciate a set of drawings for an X-Craft as I'm planning to build a 1/12 scale model of one with cut-away interior details.

Hi Mike, and welcome to the forum...I'll find the drawings for you tomorrow, they are on a USB stick, and I'll get them emailed to you.
Good luck with your project, we'd all appreciate you doing a build log as you go.

Re: X craft plans/drawings
Richard,
Could you let me have a copy of the X-craft drawings, please? I have seen the real thing at the Submarine Museum and would to like to start one as a project.
Many thanks,
RichardB

Re: X craft plans/drawings
Another Richard, eh? Welcome to the forum, I'll hunt the plans out again and email them to you this afternoon (just off shopping now)
Are you building from a kit or scratch building?

X-craft Plans
The X-craft is a fill in as I cannot get at my S-class because it is in store.
Initially just building a static model from a kit, then want to scale up to maybe 1/32 and finish with a working model.

Thanks

x-craft plans
Hello Richard, sorry to bother you but I have had a disaster with my laptop and had to buy another. In short I have lost the plans for the X-craft you sent me, wonder if I could ask for them again? I have made my mind up to build it now (from scratch) after seeing a real beaut for sale and beyond my means!! Thanking you in anticipation.

Re: X craft plans/drawings
Hi Richard, I saw your post re the x craft plans and would love a set if possible. My son is currently an Instructor SMQ at HM Naval Base Clyde and is trying to put together a representative history of the Submarine Service in general and Faslane in particular. He is currently putting together a biz plan for display cases etc and he has asked me to help him fill them!!! Any help on this or indeed any RN plans for boats up to present day would be gratefully recieved, Creditation goes without saying. Regards Craig.

A very interesting project and it would be good to help "our 1:1" fellow enthusiasts!
Has your son been in touch with the RNSM, for starters?

Give me a couple of days chaps, and I'll trawl through my ever growing pile of CD's and find the X craft plans, etc.
