Andrew G has let me know about the Warship and Sub day to be held on Sunday 25th September 2016:

"I am pleased to say there will be an event this year - on the 25th September. This is actually our 'end of season 'regatta - winter starts early up here! It's a combined Warship and Submarine day with other boats too. Set up time will be 10am and there should also be new 'comfort' facilities available as well! That'll be a first for us. Catering will be provided too."

For those of you who haven't been, Edinburgh MBC have a very nice pond (depth and size not unlike, say, Bournville) in the park close to the Botanical Gardens (Very good for visits by other halves.)

Most welcome and providing a good excuse to visit a superb city!

I have just had a email from Jim of Edinburgh MBC that this event is very much on and the pond is looking good and is weed free.

He extends a welcome to all model submariners to come along.

I am going there not least because I haven't been up to Edinburgh MBC for some time. (See you Andrew if you are attending.) and I am also missing Edinburgh! Definitely the last event of the "season", though,  for me - the shed is calling!

    Maybe see some other guests?

    David
