The next instalment of the Brockwell Lido Pool Dive In’s has been scheduled for Sunday the 27th of March 2011. This pool is larger than Olympic size http://www.fusion-lifestyle.com/centres/Brockwell_Lido/facility/Outdoor_pool
There is an excellent pool side cafe http://www.thelidocafe.co.uk/ (yes that’s the pool outside the window!) with free adjacent parking. Being a Sunday, traffic is light and there is no congestion charge to pay.
The pool management have assured us that the pool is closed to the general public and that there will be no swimmers. This event is not organised by the AMS but is supported by the AMS. It is organised by http://diveintomodelsubmarines.co.uk/ There is fee to hire the pool and all attendees pay a small contribution towards the cost. The cost indicated on the flyer is maximum cost; if attendance is good like previous events , it will be considerably less! Everyone welcome! Email poolruns@gmail.com for more details.
