Well. This event is a throw-back to the 'good old days' before 9-11: when we held our big SubRegattas at this nations most important submarine base. Only recently the DoD has relaxed security measures enough to once again permit civilians the privilege of using the officers lake for our two-day event.

    It was great!

Here are some of the models I brought:

    I just loved this video!
Really well presented and such a great location. The image that will remain for me is the Nautilus at night.
    Thanks for posting!

    David,

I think you'll also enjoy this:

Here is the video Ken Druze shot and edited of an event of a few years back -- same location, same casual organization of guys just out to have a fun two-days of r/c boat and submarine running.

    https://youtu.be/XJa2w9tg7UM

That year (2016?) we had the participation of our token European, Johann Sauer -- a guy who does nothing small: his big late-war German submarines are a sight to behold! This year he operated his Type-18 (what the Type-21 would have been had the hydrogen-peroxide plant came to fruition).

Not meaning too, Johann and the occasional European participant here serve as reminders how far we American's are behind Europe in all things r/c submarining. You guys, on the mother-continents, set the standard in this game, I will be the first to admit -- you guys lead the way.

    David
