Air pump & solenoid valve Empty Air pump & solenoid valve

    Post  Cliffhanger67 Wed Apr 21, 2021 5:51 pm

I been struggling with the pump and solenoid valve I bought from a sub resource store.
It takes forever to compress the air to dive. Also can only compress to 8 psi. The valve leaks.
Parker Hannifin makes these with million cycles reliability. It made my boat ballast system work great.
My pump is part no. E222-13
    Valve is:991-000506-007

    Hi Cliffhanger,

Can't really help with the part numbers and makers you mention, BUT, I'll tell you what I use.

I have a blood pressure problem and must monitor it daily. The piece of kit I use for this is openly available from any chemist (pharmacy) shop in the UK for about £15 and runs on 6 volt. The pressure it produces in the arm band is powerful and quick.

Bought a second unit and pulled it apart. Pump, motor, non return valves, etc all for next to nothing.

My local chemist can't understand why I've bought four of them now!

    Hi Michael,

I buy mine from LLoyds Pharmacy. Currently priced at £21.99. Prices do seem to have gone up a bit but remember you're going to pull it apart and don't need all the 'bells and whistles' that manufacturers seem to add on to them to charge more. I suspect the pump and valves are made by one company and simply repackaged by the different suppliers. Also try ebay. Many people only need a meter for a short while and then almost throw them away.
