    Happy holidays all-
I am just starting out looking here as I start thinking about building… My journey here started looking at full scale personal subs (I’ve seen a couple other folks have a similar crossover), but realizing I have a long way to go in terms of 1) Time 2) Space 3) $$$ 4) Technical skills

So all those should be pretty easy to rack up, right?

With an eye towards maybe SOMEDAY getting to something full size, I still want to get some hands on experience in building something- My interest is in building iterations of ROVs (Tether is fine as I don’t want to try to be the person to crack RF/water interface) to play around with different materials and get comfortable with some of the calculations and design that folks I know over on PSubs are doing regularly.

I hope to meet folks with similar interests here, looking forward to advice and discussion with you all!

    Welcome John!

A lot on underwater communications on this site, nothing really on personal subs but maybe you can scale up?!

Do check out the SubCommittee forum and website if you haven't already done so.

Have a very Happy Christmas and a fantastic New Year!

There is also a "ROV - Remotely Operated Vehicles" forum on https://www.rcgroups.com/rov-remotely-operated-vehicles-709/ that may have information more in line with what you are looking for.
