    Hi All,

    Finally made it here!

I don't know what the problem was about registering. I finally managed with a laptop running Linux but I can't see that has any significance ?

Welcome to all on here anyway.

I am not sure about its advantages over Facebook but I can see that it is easier to find stuff. The old Facebook wasn't bad for this but the revamp they did a few months ago just turned it into a glorified wall.

I was always a bit worried that Facebook could have pulled the plug and or introduced charges so maybe we would have more control of our own destiny on here.

I'm glad you made it David, welcome...the one advantage that a forum has over facebook is that a forum can have privacy controls, whereas facebook is open to anyone that wants to see it. At present the forum is open to all, but I can lock it down if needs be and make it members only, or I can control who joins and who doesn't.

Plus...you can find stuff easier on a forum than you can on facebook, which helps enormously.

Can we copy stuff off Facebook and put it here?

(There is a lot of useful stuff on Facebook which never sees the light of day.

Not a problem David, give me a list of what you'd like here and it will be done.

At the moment...no. In the very near future...yes. They will be going as soon as the forum host has the required software, it won't be long I'm reliably informed.

I've begun some 25 years ago the construction of 1/75e scale model of the US Submarine SSN 571 Nautilus, but I've stopped the construction because the lack of documents and drawings shawing the deck and sail organisation.

Some excellent modelling there Boris, very detailed work.

I know a guy in Australia who has a mass of information on the Nautilus, I'll contact him on your behalf.

Welcome to the forum! Empty SSN 571 Nautilus

Post  Boris Plotnikoff Tue Nov 23, 2010 11:38 am

    Hi all,

some photos of the 1/75 model of SSN 571 Nautilus I've shot to day morning :

    Welcome to the forum! 4819671007583JPG

    Welcome to the forum! 3328201007585JPG

    Welcome to the forum! 5334751007589JPG

    Welcome to the forum! 338118SSN571qjpg

This last one picture is the only one I have shawing some details of the fore deck of the boat and it's quite insufficient to finish the model !

It is why I ask if some of you have detailed drawings of the boat and other picture allowing me to make a realistic model.

    Best regards.
