    I think it must be somebodys interpritation of the turtle (David Bushnell 1776),the Turtle did not have wheels so I would think it sitting on it's transport carrage.

    Sorry uncle,on looking again they are dive plains,which again the turtle never had,also it doesnot have a verticle propeller,but the write up certainly make it the turtle,so either the write up is not the one for that photo,or it is a very lose interpritation ???

    No, it must be another sketch of an idea by David Bushnell.

    Very interesting - they had funny ideas on hydroplanes. They are just like the ones by Garett.

    Interesting to see Mrs Roosevelt. I heard a recording of her recently. She had a cut-glass English acccent! I think she went to school here.
