Just thought I would post a few photos from Blackpool.First time I've been there for several years. Not a lot for model submariners but Terry Turton's submarine stand was immaculate as always and it was good to see a relatively new supplier A1DOWNUNDER SUBS. (Ian O is chatting with Jim H on the stand in the photo.) Some really good "target" models the Minesweeper with the recovered German sub (Seehund?) on deck was intriguing and I could almost go for one of those tanks! I think you will also spot a number of John W's very interesting sub fleet on the Ribble stand.

Re: Blackpool Model Boat Show
A friend of mine(fellow local club member)attended the show and reported it was really good, well worth the journey up from Sussex. They made a long weekend out of it, although the show was good, him and his wife weren't impressed with Blackpool!

Re: Blackpool Model Boat Show
Yes Blackpool seems to develop very different reactions to different people.
My view is that it is a thoroughly WYSIWG place - so you have to choose carefully from the wide range of experiences/entertainments on offer!
I still think there was nothing to beat the Model Boat Show when it was held in the Blackpool Tower circus with subs sailing in the flooded circus ring!
