I've just receieved this from "Jean the Organiser" otf the Model Boat Convention.
Any one in the area want to display your Type VII?!
Should your Club wish to be part of this display we would ask that you advise us as soon as possible but no later than the 30th November of the boats you would wish to display. Priority will be given to naval and merchant vessels, particularly those involved in the Battle of the Atlantic. The other theme is “the sea past, current and future” which can incorporate tugs, cruisers, merchant vessels, pilot boats, ferries etc. Lifeboats may also be included. Obviously space will be limited and we will need the displays to conform with the theme and give as wide a representation of the vessels involved as possible.
Obviously this will necessitate a considerable amount of organisation in conjuntion with Liverpool Council. In order to allocate space etc., we would ask you to provide the names of the boats and their dimensions.
The display will be billed as the Model Boat Convention displaying at the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic in Liverpool and because of this the Convention Committee reserve the right to accept or reject any submission for display.
Nearby parking will be provided for exhibitors.
We do hope that you will feel able to support the Convention Committee in their efforts to support such a prestigious event.
