Graupner X-408 Transmitter Empty Graupner X-408 Transmitter

    Post  Kevin D Wed Aug 20, 2014 10:53 pm

I have purchased two NOS Graupner X-408 40mhz 4 channel transmitters without receivers. Does anyone know what make receivers are compatible with these, other than Graupner. I have tried my Futaba receiver but that does not work.

Hoping these aren't lame ducks !!!

I have had a look at the (English) instruction manual for these and all the basics look fine, because it is:
    - FM
    -PPM
-1.5 m seconds range for the servos.

If your Futaba receiver had the right crystals you should have got some response.

    Anyone any ideas?

    David

Thanks David, I hadn't really thought about crystal compatibility, I had 40mhz Futaba compatible crystals in both TX and RX.

I haven't generally experienced any issues with mix and match on my 27mhz gear which I use for fast electric boats, so I didn't really think about it.

    Could that be my problem?

Crystals are a bit of a black art but I thought Futaba would be some sort of standard.

You've presumably got the right type in the receivers (Dual or Single conversion.)

Anyone any experience of Graupner and crystals?

    David
